International Pushchino School-Conference of Young Scientists
One of the largest events for scientific youth in Russia. "Biology - Science of the 21st Century" brings together several hundred graduate students and students of biological universities, who come to listen to lectures by world scientists, get acquainted with the prospects and latest achievements in the field of physical and chemical biology. Young scientists prepare their own posters or oral presentations, publish abstracts, and receive expert assessment of their work.
Preparation and holding of conferences is carried out on the basis of research institutes of Pushchino.
Audience: researchers, graduate students, undergraduates, students.
Organizer: The Federal Research Center "Pushchino Scientific Center for Biological Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences»
Frequency: Once a year.

The Open Student BioTournament is a scientific and educational event for students specializing in natural sciences. The purpose of the BioTournament is to create a platform for talented youth to meet each other and to contact with the experienced scientists. An important goal is to involve youth in solving current worldwide scientific problems.
The Organizing Committee of the BioTournament, together with experts, makes up a list of problems in biotechnology, ecology, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and biochemistry to be considered by participants. During scientific battles, the students present their vision of the solutions of designated problems. The problems to be discussed are published on the official website of the BioTournament several months before the start of scientific battles to allow teams to carry out serious literature and patent search, as well as to formulate and formalize their original solutions.
Each team acts as a speaker, an opponent, and a reviewer. The jury members evaluate the presented solutions and also give valuable recommendations for improving the proposed answer. Moreover, as part of the tournament, students can get acquainted with the work of the research institutes of Pushchino and, possibly, make their decision for the future work at a laboratory of interest.
